Georgia: Meeting of CoM East National expert with Telavi municipality

On March 14, 2018, the Mayor of Telavi municipality Mr. Shota Nareklishvili as well as the deputy-mayor, Mr. Giorgi Tushishvili and representative of relevant department of the municipality met “Covenant of Mayors-East” National Expert in Georgia and Azerbaijan and the representatives of the Energy Efficiency Center, official Covenant of Mayors supporter in Georgia.

During the meeting was discussed the obligations taken by the Telavi Municipality as a CoM signatory and development of monitoring reports. The Mayor expressed willingness to continue cooperation with the Energy Efficiency Center and the program "Covenant of Mayors-East", indicating how important it is to implement measures for implementation of energy efficiency policies in the municipalities. The issues related to the establishment of Municipal Development Coordination Platform were also discussed at the meeting.
