Ukraine: Winner of Quiz within the webinar “Circular economy as an evolution-proven way for cities to achieve sustainability”

On June 25, the online Covenant of Mayors Platform hosted a webinar entitled “Circular Economy as an Evolved Way for Cities to Sustainability”, organized jointly by the Covenant of Mayors East Project and the Covenant of Mayors Support Structure the Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine.

During the webinar, there was conducted an overview and general analysis of neoclassical and ecological models of economy, their similarity and fundamental differences, the function of cities as a product of neoclassical economic theory and as a tool for solving the global environmental crisis (global climate change, in particular), urban metabolism and transition from a linear model urban economy to the circular, as well as the first EU Package on the circular economy.

After the webinar, an online quiz on the same topic was held, and the winner - Olha Barvinenko from Pokrovska ATC - received a prize awarded by the Covenant of Mayors - East (certificate for greenery that will be planted during the next Energy Days or EU Sustainable Energy Week).
