Moldova: Energy Day in the village of Vornichen

By the end of the year, Energy Day was held in the village of Vornichen, Straseni district. This event marked the first year of the village’s participation in the Covenant of Mayors, the largest European initiative on energy and climate at the local level.

The event was organized in kindergarten No. 1. Children, who were helped by parents and teachers, carefully prepared for the holiday. They did work using natural materials and recyclables, depicting what environmental protection means to them.

In total, more than 110 children from the entire kindergarten were involved in creative activities devoted to nature. And the children from the Andrieș group summed up the results of Energy Day by participating in sports competitions.

For organizing of Energy Day in Vornicheni, the village administration awarded the kindergarten with an Honorary Diploma, and the children received medals - sweet chocolate gifts.
