A second stakeholder workshop presenting the updated version of the proposed gas transmission tariff methodology and calculation tool took place on 20 February in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The event was organised by the Energy Community Secretariat as part of the EU4Energy Governance Project. Representatives of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), Georgian Gas Transmission Company and other gas transmission system users attended the event.
The network code will enable the gas transmission system operator to collect its revenue based on costs as they emerge in the various parts of the network. The discussion focused on the impact of the new methodology on different types of gas system users, such as thermal power plants, household suppliers and industrial consumers.
Energy Community Secretariat experts, in cooperation with the GNERC, will prepare the final version of the proposed tariff methodology.
