In the context of the European Green Deal and the new framework of the Eastern Partnership, the European Union has launched this second edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Award for the Eastern Partnership. The award is part of the European Union Sustainable Energy Week 2020 and aims at championing inspiring sustainable energy initiatives in the six Eastern partner countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to citizens, businesses, governmental institutions, local authorities, civil society organisations, and youth organisations from one or several Eastern partner countries listed above.
A key requirement is that applicants have benefitted from EU support for their energy efficiency or renewable energy project - directly or indirectly.
How to apply?
Eligible applicants are invited to fill in the application form on line by 17th April 2020, midnight Brussels time.
What is the prize?
Six finalists, selected by the jury, will be invited to Brussels to attend the EUSEW2020 award ceremony on 23 June 2020 (or at the soonest possible date if need to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic).
The overall winner, who will receive a professional video shoot of their project, will be announced at the EUSEW2020 Award ceremony in Brussels following a public vote among the finalists.
