The EU4Energy Governance project released a video celebrating its achievements over the last four-year implementation period. The video features the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, Janez Kopač, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava, the Head of the Energy Policies Department of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova, Calin Negura, and the CEO of Gas TSO of Ukraine, Sergiy Makogon.

The video presents the main energy reform developments achieved by Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine with the help of the EU4Energy Governance project.

The project has assisted Georgia in developing an appropriate legal framework for energy efficiency in buildings, as well as electricity and gas market rules and a gas market concept design, supporting the competitive energy market in the country. Under the project, the Republic of Moldova has received support to harmonise its legislative documents and initiatives aimed at reforming the energy market and developing transparent and competitive electricity and gas markets. The project has also helped Ukraine with its transition to a new electricity market model, ensuring greater system security, to develop its new National Energy Efficiency Action Plan and unbundle the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine in line with the requirements of European law.

The EU4Energy Governance project is a technical assistance project funded by the European Union under the EU4Energy initiative. It targets policymakers working in the energy sectors of Eastern partner countries and helps them to strengthen their legislative and regulatory frameworks as well as identify investment opportunities in key energy infrastructure projects.
