Nova Poshta – Ukraine’s leading private postal service operator – will benefit from support from the EU and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to introduce new parcel sorting technology. This will help the company to reduce its environmental impact.

The company will have better postal logistics infrastructure, which will in turn allow it to reduce its CO2 emissions. In addition to an EBRD loan, it will profit from an EU incentive grant provided through FINTECC, the EBRD’s Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change programme, designed to transfer technology in the area of climate change mitigation and adaptation. The programme was launched in Ukraine in February 2016 with EBRD and EU support.

Nova Poshta LLC is the country’s largest privately owned postal company, with 2,300 branches across Ukraine.
