On 10 April, the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and non-governmental organisation Greencubator, announced the five winners of the final stage of the Climate Innovation Vouchers Programme.

Each of these winners received funding worth €100,000 for the development of their green business solutions:

  • Delfast — electric bike certification and patenting, technical and usability improvements
  • Integro-SD — control and automation system for the production and certification of organic fertilisers
  • Integral Complex Systems — low-power, long-range wireless solution for energy system control and data exchange
  • IOT TRADE — control system and web-interface for a central hub for smart-home devices (thermostats and sensors)
  • Obolon Oil — industrial scaling for serial production of plastic-to-fuel processing

This completes the first phase of Ukraine’s largest grant programme for clean technology and low-carbon technology developers. 31 beneficiaries received funding for the development of their green business solutions, worth a total of €1 million.

The Climate Innovation Vouchers Programme was launched as part of the EBRD’s “Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change” (FINTECC) programme, funded by the European Union. Ukraine became the first country to launch such a programme, which is implemented by Greencubator.
