On 11 July, 140 students and 10 teachers took part in a “green class” at the Nadezhda Children’s Rehabilitation and Health Centre in Belarus. The children enjoyed participating in interactive games, excursions, lessons on environmental monitoring, discussions and competitions.

The green class initiative is part of the International Technical Assistance Project “Civic engagement in environmental monitoring and improving environmental management at the local level”, which is funded by the European Union and co-implemented by the United Nations Development Programme and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus. The project gives a powerful impulse to the development of green schools in Belarus.
