The Slavutych kindergarten and school were retrofitted in 2018 as part of the EU-financed “Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects” initiative. Both buildings now consume 44% less energy compared to previously.
As a result, the city was able to save almost €33,000 in 2018. All the money saved was invested in energy-efficient lighting for the two institutions. Find more details about this success story and many others inspiring examples in this article.
