Representatives of the local administration of the Belarusian town of Ashmyany have visited Novahrudak to learn from the city’s experience of developing green energy technologies for public use, as well as implementing energy efficiency measures in the public sector.
They visited a hospital and a kindergarten, known as “kindergarten no. 10”. In both buildings, solar panels have been installed with the EU’s support and are now used to heat water. They also visited a wind turbine near Novahrudak that was installed with financial assistance from the EU.
