On 12 December, the Energy Community Parliamentary Plenum met in Chișinău, the Republic of Moldova to discuss the draft report on the ‘Future of Energy Efficiency’. The members of parliament discussed EU 2030 energy and climate targets, Energy Community Treaty amendments and the gas security situation in the region.

The members approved the report, and plan to adopt it at the next meeting of the Plenum, scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2020 in the European Parliament, Brussels. During the plenum, the members decided to focus on coal regions in the transition and empowerment of energy consumers in 2020.
