On 20 January, the Energy Community announced the call for applications for the fifth annual Energy Community Summer School. The summer school offers participants the opportunity to understand the science, policy and regulation of energy markets in transition, as well as the challenges behind implementing EU energy law and regulations in a national context.

The event is organised by the Energy Community Secretariat in cooperation with the Visegrad Fund. This year, the summer school will take place from 22 August to 29 August 2020 at the Masaryk University Centre for International Cooperation in Telc – a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in the Czech Republic.

Application is open for postgraduate students (master’s or PhD), researchers from all energy-related disciplines, young professionals from governmental institutions, companies, think tanks and NGOs from the Energy Community Region and Eastern Neighbourhood. Upon successful completion of the school, participants will earn 3 ECTS points, as the Energy Community Summer School is accredited in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System.
