A new video shared on the Facebook page of the EU Delegation to Georgia talks about a Georgian cement company that managed to modernise its production equipment to save energy and boost energy efficiency.
The video demonstrates how the EU and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) support businesses and homeowners wanting to invest in green technologies.
The assistance was provided within the EU-funded Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF)
The Green Economy Financing Facility will contribute to the development and strengthening of the green economy in Georgia. With a total budget of USD 54 million (€49 million), the facility will support investments in energy efficiency, climate mitigation and adaptation of small and medium-sized enterprises, corporations and residential households by making loans available through local partner banks.
The European Union is a key partner and a donor of the GEFF.
