On 10 March, EU4Energy launched a technical assistance project aiming to facilitate investment in Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine and experts from the Energy Community discussed how to put the new project in motion. The draft legislation will be developed with assistance from EU4Energy by the end of April 2020.
The regulation prescribes establishing a national competent authority and setting up procedures for the permitting process. The legislation will also define the methodology and criteria for evaluating investment in electricity and gas projects and the risks involved.
