Ukraine: training for small city-signatories on technical aspects of SE(C)AP implementation, 29-30/01/2019

From 29 to 30 January 2019 EU Project “Covenant of Mayors - East” conducted in Slavutych training for small city-signatories on technical aspects of SEAP(C) implementation.

During two days representatives of 26 small towns and Amelgement Community received theoretical and practical knowledge on project management from the technical side, learned how to plan energy efficient measures in various sectors of the SE(С)AP, and got acquainted with the experience of the Slavutych city in implementing comprehensive rehabilitation of budget buildings for EU grant account.

Professional trainers + two support structures of the Covenant of Mayors (Association of Energy Efficient Cities and Association OTG) + Territorial Coordinator (Kharkiv Regional Council) and Signatories - this is a really good team to strengthen the potential of cities on sustainable energy development and climate!

During the 1st day of the training participants talked about energy efficiency in buildings, renewable energy sources and street lighting. The second day of technical training was devoted to project planning issues for the following sectors: water and wastewater, waste management, central heating systems. Separately, the use of alternative and renewable energy for central heating systems was discussed in detail.
