Republic of Armenia has always been one of the countries in focus of the European Neighbourhood Policy and of the EU Eastern Partnership Initiative. The issue highlights the developments and achievements of Armenian Signatories on the way to fulfilling the new Covenant commitments, as well as overview of the CoM East events and activities held by the project experts in Armenia and other EaP countries. You will learn about a successful project in Armenian cities of Spitak and Vayk implemented under the EU-funded Programme “Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects”. The Newsletter also informs on capacity building opportunities and communication activities of the CoM East project to strengthen the expertise of the Covenant Signatories, Supporters and Coordinators in the field of energy and climate policies, as well as to promote the new Covenant at the national and international level.
