More than 70,000 willow and poplar trees have been planted in Festelita, in the Republic of Moldova, as part of the “Adopt a tree!” action.
Over the course of two weeks, more than 100 residents of Festelita had the chance to plant trees. Every participant could mark his or her tree and receive an official “tree adoption” certificate.
The action was organised as part of the EU-funded initiative “Covenant of Mayors – Demonstration Projects” in Moldova.
