In the framework of #EUSEW2020, we invite you to take part in the online event organized by the CoM East project and dedicated to green recovery and growth in the Eastern Partnership countries.

On February 27, 2020, in Minsk (Belarus) the 2-day communication workshop “Advancing Covenant of Mayors in Eastern Partnership countries” has brought together representatives of national authorities and NGOs from 6 countries to discuss the effective ways of strengthening communication on new Covenant in the region.

A two-day workshop “Advancing the Covenant of Mayors in the Eastern Partnership Countries” held in Minsk, the capital of the Republic of Belarus.

On February 27–28, 2020, a communication seminar “Advancing Covenant of Mayors in Eastern Partnership countries” was held in Minsk. It was attended by representatives of national authorities and non-governmental organizations from 6 countries.

The most vulnerable to climate change sectors are agriculture and energy. Therefore, in planning, including innovative developments, investments in large energy and projects, it is very important to analyze the climate risks that await Ukraine in the next 10-20 years. Oksana Kysil, the national expert of the EU project “Covenant of Mayors - East”, spoke about this during an online meeting on the topic “Innovations on the way to sustainable energy” organized by the Energy Club.

On December 13, 2019, Olga Demyanenko, Director of the Department for Relations with International Agencies and Financial Institutions, met with Oksana Kysil, National expert in Ukraine of the EU project “Covenant of Mayors - East”.

The official document describes the obligations within Covenant of Mayors on Climate and Energy, which must be approved by the City council (or equivalent body).
