This year, a new tradition has been started in the Pyriatyn ATC - to hold the EU Sustainable Energy Week annually. This is a set of activities designed to draw the attention of the community residents to the problems of resource consumption, the use of renewable energy sources, and respect for the environment and climate.

Bolnisi Municipality has joined the European Sustainable Energy Week under the motto "Light your mind". Due to the coronavirus pandemic, on the occasion of Energy Day, the municipality organized an online quiz for pupils.

A project to modernize street lighting in the cities of Ocniţa and Cantemir became the winner of the second edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Award for the Eastern Partnership. The two cities installed modern, energy efficient street lighting as part of a program to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% by 2020.

On February 26 at 15:00 CET, CoM EU - CoM East Exchange Webinar on Municipal Adaptation (Cascais, Portugal) will be organized.

In December 2019, Hrodna City joined the Covenant of Mayors on Climate and Energy. The goal of the project is sustainable energy development at the local level and the adoption of measures for mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

On July 30, there was an online awards ceremony for the winners of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2020.

On June 22-26, Georgia hosts Sustainable Energy Week, which is joined by the Georgia Airports Association.

European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the largest renewable energy and energy efficiency event in Europe and beyond it. It brings together public authorities, private companies, non-governmental organizations and consumers to promote energy conservation initiatives and renewable sources for having clean, safe and efficient energy.

The European Union, together with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, is launching Sustainable Energy Week. The EU Sustainable Energy Week information campaign will run from June 22 to 26. Based on the COVID-19 health and safety recommendations, most of the campaign activities will be conducted through social, broadcast and online media platforms. 

Sustainable Energy Week. Such a thematic seven-day event appeared in the calendar of city events. This initiative has a very specific background. Recall that in December 2019, the head of the Hrodna City Executive Committee, Mechislav Hoy, signed the "Covenant of Mayors", thus giving consent that our city is voluntarily joined an international project, that already includes about 10 thousand cities. The global goal is the fight for the environment. The specific measures that each of the participating cities must take is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by a third in the next 10 years.
