This year, a new tradition has been started in the Pyriatyn ATC - to hold the EU Sustainable Energy Week annually. This is a set of activities designed to draw the attention of the community residents to the problems of resource consumption, the use of renewable energy sources, and respect for the environment and climate.

A project to modernize street lighting in the cities of Ocniţa and Cantemir became the winner of the second edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Award for the Eastern Partnership. The European Union, together with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, is launching Sustainable Energy Week. The EU Sustainable Energy Week information campaign will run from June 22 to 26. Sustainable Energy Week. Such a thematic seven-day event appeared in the calendar of city events. This initiative has a very specific background. Recall that in December 2019, the head of the Hrodna City Executive Committee, Mechislav Hoy, signed the "Covenant of Mayors", thus giving consent that our city is voluntarily joined an international project, that already includes about 10 thousand cities. The global goal is the fight for the environment. The specific measures that each of the participating cities must take is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by a third in the next 10 years.
