COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented global health and economic crisis affecting many sectors, including energy. As a response, the EU initiative ‘Covenant of Mayors’, the world's largest movement for local climate and energy actions, has collected a number of useful resources to support over 10,000 local governments across Europe and beyond. Here are some of the tools shared:

• Give a Day is a free platform where municipalities and large organisations can generate, manage and increase social engagement. The platform allows for quick matching between requests for help and volunteers, while respecting the privacy of the people involved.
• Over the coming weeks, the C40 community will share a collection of best practice examples from cities on its Spotlight On: Cities and COVID-19 page. The page will further include articles, webinars, city COVID-19 initiative trackers and peer-to-peer support offers.
• United Cities and Local Governments, Metropolis and UN-Habitat have launched a live learning experience where local and regional governments can share materials, strategies and protocols for fighting COVID-19.
