EU4Energy Governance Project Phase II

Brief Description

The project supports Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and targets mainly government authorities in improving their energy policies and institutional capacity in order to shift to the sustainable energy transition. The project supports the alignment of the legal framework in the three countries with the EU acquis and the Energy Community Treaty, as well as the bilateral agreements with the EU and the EU's best practice.

The project is part of the second phase of the EU4Energy programme - Promoting the Clean Energy Transition in the Eastern Partnership countries.

Objectives

Improved transposition and implementation of the energy acquis and coherent policy development in line with the Energy Community Treaty, Association Agreements, DCFTAs, and EU best practices.

Actions in brief

Activities will cover a broad range of actions, including support in drafting legal frameworks and regulations, elaboration of guidelines, and monitoring of implementation. These actions will be complemented by the organisation of workshops and other events to strengthen institutional capacity.
