During an official award ceremony in Yerevan on 19 February, the six best energy efficiency projects financed in Armenia through the Energocredit facility received special awards for their contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Armenia.

The winners were Armyanksiy Urozhai LLC, Armsweet LLC, Grand Sport LLC, Hytex Plastic CJSC, Lentex LLC and Masis Poultry LLC.

The Energocredit facility, which is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Union and the Government of Austria and is nearing its completion, supported industrial and residential investments in green technologies, enabling the more efficient use of energy in the country.

Since the launch of Energocredit in 2013, Armenian companies have received over €27 million in green financing through seven local banks.
