Experts from the Energy Community Secretariat conducted a workshop on energy savings and energy efficiency for the Ukrainian authorities in Kyiv on 25 March. The main goal of the event, organised as part of the EU’s assistance to Ukraine under the EU4Energy Programme, was to discuss potential measures to be included in the Ukraine National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) 2019-2030.

The experts discussed the preliminary forecast for energy saving potential, for example measures related to buildings, industry and transport. The draft NEEAP, including a roadmap for its implementation, will be developed in the coming months. On this basis, the Ukrainian government will make important decisions on how to enhance the energy security of its citizens.
