The EU4Energy Governance project, financed by the EU, will provide support in preparing regulations and guidelines for regular inspections of heating and air conditioning in Georgia.

The efficient operation of heating and air conditioning systems is an important aspect of the energy efficiency of a building and is also part of the requirements foreseen in the draft Law on Energy Performance in Buildings in Georgia.

The regulations will ensure that inspections are carried out regularly, thereby ensuring the energy efficiency of buildings and the safety of citizens. The regulations will also ensure that the inspectors are qualified and accredited and that inspections are carried out in a transparent manner. The results from the inspection will be taken into account when issuing the energy performance certificate of the building.
