On 30 and 31 January, an EU4Energy capacity building workshop on energy-related legal developments in Ukraine and the next steps in the harmonisation with the Energy Community acquis took place in Vienna, Austria.
The main topics of discussion were the implementation of Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT), legal requirements for and the functioning of the Ukrainian electricity market, Ukrainian gas exchange issues and an overview of the development of rules on energy efficiency and oil stocks.
The workshop was organised by the Energy Community Secretariat and attended by experts of the Secretariat of Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
