On 20 March, EU4Energy launched a project to assist Ukraine in adapting its legislation to the EU law on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency. The EU regulation aims to stop and prevent insider trading and manipulation in wholesale energy markets across Europe.

The overall objective of the project is to improve the existing laws in the Ukrainian energy sector by bringing them closer to the Energy Community acquis and EU best practices. Experts will work on drafting amendments to the law that establishes the Ukrainian Energy Regulatory Authority, the Electricity Market Law and other legal acts.
