In the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi, a fleet of low-floor and low-emission buses conforming to high safety standards and EU regulations replaced the old polluting buses with no air conditioning and unsuited to the needs of elderly or disabled people.

The special issue is dedicated to the European Sustainable Energy Week 2020, which was very unusual this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Totally, 85 Energy Days were organised by the CoM Signatories in the EaP countries, mostly in a digital format. The issue highlights a brief summary and achievements of Georgian Signatories on the way to fulfilling their commitments undertaken under the new Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy. As usual, it contains an overview of the most important capacity building activities held by the CoM East experts for the CoM Signatories, Coordinators and Supporters in the Eastern Partnership countries to strengthen their potential in developing and implementing Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAP).
