Ukraine: Training on Energy and Climate Policy Development
On August 13-14, a training session on the development of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAP) was held in Myrhorod for Signatories with commitments until 2020, who decided to extend their commitments under the Covenant of Mayors until 2030 with new targets to reduce CO2 emissions by no less than 30% and including adaptation and energy poverty.

Belarus, Navahrudak: Wind energy power plants in Navahrudak district
Navahrudak district hosts the oldest and the biggest wind farm in Belarus, located near village Grabniki, as well as numerous of wind turbines in other locations. Electricity in the district is generated by 20 wind turbines, both state-owned and private, with a total capacity of 32 MW.

Moldova, Cantemir: Thermal rehabilitation of 4 public buildings
The EU funded project “Cantemir: Thermal rehabilitation of educational buildings - CanTREB» was implemented within the framework of Covenant of Mayors Demonstration Program by Cantemir municipality and NGO “Alliance for Energy efficiency and Renewables”. 4 public buildings (2 kindergartens, lyceum and gymnasium) have been thermally refurbished in the line with the best European practices and allowed municipality to reduce costs for their maintenance and operation as well as improve indoor conditions for children and staff of public institutions. Moreover, biomass boiled is constructed to provide heat energy for modernized buildings.
Belarus, Polack: PubLiCity - modernization of public lighting
PubLiCity project funded by the European Union is the largest public lighting modernization project in Belarus for the time being. Within the project almost two thousand LED luminaries with smart control system were installed in Polack and 26 city buildings, monuments and other sites were equipped with efficient architectural lighting.
