On 3 July, the results of the ‘National Report on Stress Tests for the Belarus Nuclear Power Plant’ will be presented to the public in Brussels.

The report was produced on the peer review request from the Belarusian Ministry for Emergency Situations (MES), which was submitted in October 2017 to the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission and the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG).

The peer review exercise took place in Belarus between 12 and 16 March 2018. The peer review team was made up of 17 experts from EU Member States and non-EU countries, with a balance between nuclear and non-nuclear countries. The team also included two representatives from the European Commission and three observers (one from the International Atomic Energy Agency, one from the Russian Federation and one from Iran).

Before the presentation in Brussels, the report was submitted to ENSREG for endorsement.

All information related to the peer review exercise is available on the ENSREG website.
