15th Anniversary conference

The Covenant of Mayors Eastern Partnership Region (CoM East) is marking 15 years of local climate and energy action with a High-Level Conference on 20–21 May 2026 in Chișinău, Moldova.

The two-day event will bring together around 200 signatory municipalities, EU and national institutions, and international partners to reflect on what has been achieved and map out the next steps for climate and energy action across the region.

The programme combines high-level dialogue on climate neutrality, energy transition, and EU integration with practical sessions on resilience and innovative solutions. The conference will close with a site visit to Mimi Castel Zero Emission Resort – an award-winning example of CO₂ reduction, energy efficiency, and climate adaptation in action.

The event is open to signatories that have developed their Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs), as well as to those who have recently joined CoM East and are actively engaged in its activities. Places will be limited, and priority will be given to the most active and committed municipalities.
