There were visits to the Brest waste recycling plant, wastewater treatment plant, boiler room on Daumanskaya Street, etc.

Brest has something to share, it has long and successfully developed and implemented strategies for decarbonizing its territory in order to make it more sustainable. Information work with citizens, holding Energy Days, discussion of local investment strategies in the waste management system, sustainable urban mobility are just some of the topics that city representatives discussed during three days (May 15-17).

Goal of the City2City exchange program is to build the capacity of cities that are at the beginning of developing Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans within the framework of the implementation of commitments to the Covenant of Mayors. Organizational support in Belarus is provided by the Belarusian office of the EU project “Covenant of Mayors – East”.
