High-level conference “Municipalities for Sustainable Growth” was held on November 22-23 at the Kiev President Hotel, organized by three projects funded by the European Union: Covenant of Mayors - East (CoM-East), Covenant of Mayors - Demonstration Projects (CoM-DeP) and Mayors for Economic Growth (E4EG).

Thanks to the support of the European Union, Cantemir becomes one of the first cities in the Republic of Moldova which will manage street lighting with the help of intelligent and energy efficient technologies. This has become possible thanks to the EU-funded Project: Green Light Moldova. Modernization and Saving Energy in Street Lighting implemented in Cantemir and Ocnita by the Alliance for Energy Efficiency and Renewables (AEER) in collaboration with the local public authorities within the framework of the “Covenant of Mayors Demonstration Projects” Program.

On June 3, 2018, the Delegation of the European Union in Ukraine and the Chernivtsi City Council opened the European Sustainable Energy Week, which Ukraine has been conducting 8 times. Within the framework of the EU SEW 2018, a signing ceremony of the Covenant of Mayors, a press conference, panel discussion and other events aimed to raise awareness of the city's residents and other visitors about energy and resource efficiency, energy conservation and other activities aimed to reduce CO2 emissions took place.

Около 400 представителей местных и национальных органов власти стран Восточного партнерства, а также представители ЕС, приняли участие в конференции высокого уровня «Муниципалитеты за устойчивый рост», которая состоялась 22-23 ноября в Киеве. Мероприятие способствовало диалогу о возрастающей роли местных органов власти в выявлении и решении вызовов устойчивого развития, экономической стабильности и изменения климата.

C 25 по 26 сентября 2018 года в Тбилиси успешно прошел двухдневный семинар по коммуникациям для подписантов Соглашения мэров. В семинаре приняли участие 30 участников, представляющих департаменты по связям с общественностью или пресс службы муниципалитетов из Грузии и Азербайджана, представители министерств, являющихся Национальными координаторами Соглашения мэров в Грузии, а также национальный координатор EU4Energy в Грузии. Участники активно обсудили пути и методы эффективных коммуникаций с населением.

29 мая 2018 года в Батуми (Грузия) прошел двухдневный национальный тренинг «Реализация ПДУЭРК на транспорте, в сфере управления отходами и водным хозяйством.
