Strategic cooperation: CoMEast III project and the Technical University of Moldova

CoM-East III project team leader Christoph Frering and Rector of the Technical University of Moldova Viorel Bostan signed an agreement on cooperation and partnership.
The signing of the agreement took place in a solemn atmosphere under the auspecies of the EU information center in Chisinau – Europe Café.
Through this collaboration, the parties will strengthen their efforts in several areas, including capacity building on energy and climate change issues for Covenant of Mayors signatories and other stakeholders; technical and policy to local public authorities in the development of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs); raising awareness of local communities and stakeholders about sustainable energy, reducing energy dependence, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and many more.
The CoMEast project team was represented by Christoph Frering, Team Leader, Jan Edwin Waanders, Expert on Institutional Relations, Irina Plis, National Expert of the Republic of Moldova, and from the Technical University, Mr. Viorel Bostan, Rector of the Technical University of Moldova, Rodion Chuperca, Head of Advanced Training Department TUM, Ludmila Varlan, Director of the Center for Advanced Studies “Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings”, Lupu Mihail, Head of the Laboratory of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources of the Energy Institute.
