Ukraine: Climate change and adaptation were discussed in the city of Cherninhiv
On December 20, 2019, at the level of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration (territorial coordinator of the Covenant of Mayors), there was discussed the issue of forming a policy on adaptation to climate change at the regional level as one of the strategic directions of the regional development strategy for the period 2021-2027.
It was an open dialogue between authorities, representatives of science – universities, territorial communities and cities, and the public. There were discussed the main climate risks of the region and the vulnerability of sectors, practical experience in adaptation to climate change in the Chernihiv region, and plans for 2020.
