As part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW2020) in June, the signatory cities and municipalities of the EU-funded initiative ‘Covenant of Mayors East’ in the Republic of Moldova organised a series of competitions.

In one of the competitions, the participants had to create virtual tours of their cities and municipalities, and recently the ‘Covenant of Mayors East’ initiative announced the contest winners – the cities of Ialoveni, Feștelița and Stăuceni. The prizes included two bicycles, an electric scooter and a voucher for planting trees.

During the award ceremony, the mayors of the three municipalities were congratulated by Gintautas Baranauskas, the Deputy Head of Operations at the EU Delegation to Moldova, and Victor Parlikov, national expert of the ‘Covenant of Mayors’ initiative in Moldova.
