The eighth edition of the Vienna Forum on European Energy Law will be held virtually this year, from 16 November to 7 December. Jointly organised by the Energy Community Secretariat and the Florence School of Regulation, the forum consists of four webinars, focusing on the most pertinent issues in bridging the gap in the energy debate between the EU and the Energy Community.

The forum brings together a unique mix of legal and industry expertise, institutional insights and academic perspectives, with an opportunity for debate and discussion with the audience on the topics of solidarity principle, European climate law, carbon pricing and the role of the private sector in the energy transition. All webinars are open to the public and free of charge.

The detailed programme is available below:

  • 16 November: The solidarity principle and the just transition in energy: Poetry or law?
  • 23 November: The European Climate Law: Fit for purpose?
  • 30 November: Carbon pricing: The silver bullet for the energy transition?
  • 7 December: The private sector to the rescue of the energy transition: Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance and the role of banks
